FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS Esther 4:13–17
There are moments in life when faith requires more than concern.
It requires action.
Esther found herself in a place of influence while her people faced destruction. Mordecai’s words forced her to ask whether her position was merely for her comfort, or whether she had been placed there to serve others.
In this message, we explore three important truths:
God’s providence gives significance to where He has placed us.
Standing for others requires dependence, courage and surrender.
God works through surrendered obedience for the good of His people.
This is not simply a message about being brave like Esther.
It is ultimately about Jesus Christ.
Esther said, “If I perish, I perish.”
Jesus willingly went to the cross and gave His life for sinners.
Because Christ has given Himself for us, we are free to surrender our lives to His purposes.
